The Happiness of Pursuit Podcast – Episode #12

Maggie Oldham shares how to start a niche blog and build an online business

When you think of etiquette, you probably think about manors, eating with your back straight and not slurping your soup – well at least I did until I had the opportunity to interview Maggie Oldham, who is a modern etiquette coach and has started an incredible blog and coaching business to teach what most people miss about proper etiquette – from Pool Parties to Texting , Night Clubs and Film Festivals and my personal favorite, “How to give a great toast.

In this episode of The Happiness of Pursuit Podcast, Maggie opens up about how she turned her childhood passion of being a princess into a side business coaching a wide variety of clients.

What blew me away about Maggie’s story is how she saved her vacation time to attend one of Switzerland’s premier finishing schools and become certified etiquette consultant. She then turned this passion into an incredible blog, modernizing what was a stodgy old industry into something that connects with millennials and business executives alike.

What you will learn in this episode of the Happiness of Pursuit Podcast:

  • How to build a side business while you are still working (what she said is a MUST)
  • How passion plays a huge role in your entrepreneurial journey
  • How to learn the necessary skills when you are starting out
  • How to grow slowly and upgrade when necessary
