Some were born into money, some came from nothing, but what many of the entrepreneurs who are changing the world have in common is a “Growth Mindset.”
They were able to embrace failures, learn from them and grow. They didn’t let the fear of failure hold them back, but rather they embraced the learning experiences around them.

All of these people have accomplished exponential results after what should have been career-ending setbacks.
How can you foster a growth mindset to accomplish 10x growth?
It takes time, patience and a lot of practice to develop a growth mindset, but here are a few ways to get started.
1. Get comfortable with being uncomfortable
The only way you can grow is to start doing things outside of your comfort zone. Starting today (literally when you read this) write down the most recent thing you passed on. It may be because it scared you, you were afraid what someone might think, or you keep putting off. The important thing for right now is to understand what the feelings are that are preventing you from being successful. Once you have a better understanding of what’s holding you back, the sooner we can break through them and begin to build an exponential future.
2. Never stop learning
When I was originally writing these tips, I had this as fail fast, and fail often, however with the amount of tools we have available to us, so many of the failures that plague early entrepreneurs can be avoided with some research. Seek out the most successful people in your industry and read their autobiographies, they are likely going to share some of the biggest challenges they struggled with. There is no sense in replicating their failures, learn from them and get a basic foundation before you begin so you can avoid some of the major pitfalls.
Once you have that basic understanding, be fearless of failure. Nothing will prepare for success like failure. How you rebound and learn from that failure, is the difference between a “growth mindset” and a “fixed mindset”. Like Carol Dweck noted, “The passion for stretching yourself and sticking to it, even (or especially) when it’s not going well, is the hallmark of the growth mindset.”
3. Surround yourself with great people

If you want to improve you need to surround yourself with people who you can learn from. Most people are familiar with Jim Rohn’s quote, “You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with.” The challenge most people have with this is learning how to connect with right people and build a relationship with them.
There are thousands of books, articles and YouTube videos on growing your network and connecting with influencers. What I have found worked the best is being sincere and honest when you reach out to influencers. One of the best ways to learn from them is to do an interview.
