Happiness of Pursuit Podcast – Episode #8
How Olympic Rower Julien Bahain battled near paralysis and being lost at sea to become a World Champion and Gold medalist.
In February of this year, this PanAm Gold medalist was in a wheelchair. Nearly paralyzed, he grinded his way back to the podium in 4 short months! Shockingly, this is not the only life-transforming story he tells in this episode.
Julien Bahain is an Olympic rower, who is ironically scared of the water! Despite this fear, he decided to make an attempt at the world record for rowing across the ocean. Part way through the journey he and his crewmate hit a terrible story – what happened next, and how this near death experience changed him is something you would find in a Hollywood script!
In addition to being an Olympian, he is also a project manager and mechanical engineer.
To see their journey across the ocean, here is a sneak peek. The full version is below in the resource section.
